WIFE DIES WITH HUSBAND

LONDON, 17th July. Mrs Lees, an octogenarian shopkeeper, of Redhill, near London, finding that paraffin had ignited the kitchen, hurried upstairs to assist her bedridden husband. The flames quickly cut off her escapeand a neighbour climbed a ladder and entered the bedroom window, Mrs Lees refused to leave her husband and both were incinerated.
