Poincare is •suffering from inflammation of the prostrate gland, for which two painful operations will, he necessary with an interval between. M. Clemencenu successfully underwent similar operations a few years ago. KING GEORGE'S SYMPATHY (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 28th July. King George, yesterday telegraphed to M. Poincare expressing concern at tlio news of his illness. Replying to the message of sympathy sent by Mr Ramsay MacDonald, M. Poincare telegraphed: "I thank your Excellency for your kind wishes. 1 regret circumstances compel me to interrupt my friendly collaboration with the British Government, and I affirm most ardent wishes for the success of the work of peace to which our two countries have already consecrated so many efforts'."
