CLOSING NGATITAMA STREET
(To the Eilitor) Sir, —T wan) lo support "A Close Resident" in Iris opposition to tlio closing of Ngalilama street. Why slionkl it be closed? There, is absolutely no reason why the public should lose, this street. It is a nice little walk up that street around to Wainiea r.)a<"l. I for one should like to see a vigorous protest, aiiJ ii : citizens are awake as they should be, Ihe rinsing of this road would not In- id.- easy matter the Council and ili.. !'..,.!!,) of Governors take it to be. ! sincerely hope thai the residents in (lie nearby vicinity will walce up, and allow oo blind street. Councillor Moynajjli certainly deserves (he, (hanks of the citizens, for his attitude re the matter. Though the College Governors have purchased the land there, it belongs to :hc public, and if the place can. be made lna'.'.tiful; why deny the public the pleasure of viewing the buildings and grounds of the College. Wake up. Nelson. T am. etc., 'THE OTHER END OF THE TOWN." Nelson. 29th Julv.
