THE GOOD TEMPLARS

The weekly session of the Hope of Talmna Temple was presided over by Past Chief Templar Bro. T. Vass, in the unavoidable absence of the chief templar. After tlie temperance lesson a pleasant evening was spent with competitions. Bro. J. Vass was adjudged the best in the longest words' competition with 87 to his credit, while Bro. T. Vass was .second with 63. Both were recipients of suitable prizes. It was decided tot arrange a social evening for 14th August, and to invite the Hope of Nelson for that occasion. The Rev. J. Rogers of Stoke will pay his farewell visit to the temple prior to his leaving the district, and will give an interesting talk during the evening. There is to be an interesting discussion at next session, this having been postponed owing to the prevalence of influenza among the members. The weekly session of the Hope of Nelson Temple was held in the Rechabite Hall, presided over by Sis. Jean Keith, C.T. The business part of the session was devoted to the quarterly election of ollicers. for which there war. a keen contest. The successful candidates are to be installed at next session. The remainder of the evening was spent with enjoyable games.
