Thomas, a well known Cliiistehureli solicitor,' was charged with at templing In pervert the course n[ justice in recent Supreme Court proceedings that arose, from a fatal motor accident near the clock tower. Chief Detective Carroll conducted the ease for tho police, and Air A. C. Hanlon, of Dunedin, appeared for the defence, with Mr ,7. Gleason. After a hearing which lasted until late in the afternoon, the Magistrate dismissed the information. A similar charge. against. Frank llrcar Clark, which was heard after Thomas's case, was also dismissed.
