FLOUTING OF AUTHORITIES EXCITEMENT IN PARIS (United Press Association— By Usotrk TnUgraph—UojM'iicfctt United Service LONDON, 27th July. It is reported that Paris is aflame with excitement in. consequence of the Communists’ determined efforts to frustrate the Government’s resolve to prevent disturbances on Ist August. The wire connecting the Prefecture of Police with the military headquarters of tlie Republican Guards lias been cut with the object of paralysing the forceful stoppage of the demonstrations. Tho police are redoubling their vigilance. They raided the cilices of the Communist newspaper “Avant Garde” and seized thousands of copies which arc said to contain incitements to revolt. A SOVIET MANIFESTO (“Times ' Cables) LONDON, 27th July. “The Times” reports that a firm of London shipowners received a copy of a Soviet manifesto distributed to the crew of one of its ships commanding a, general stoppage oil Ist August and denouncing -Mr MacDonald as a friend of the King, who is the champion of British imperialism. THREE COMMUNISTS KILLED (Received 29th Julv, 11.45 a.m.) BELGRADE, 28th July. As a precaution against the Communist rising which is being planned throughout Europe for Ist August, the police surrounded a secret meeting of tho Reds in an hotel in the village of Samobar. An order to surrender was met. with a stream of bullets. In a fierce fight three Communists were killed, three wounded and several police wounded.
