RESIGNATION OF PREMIER ILLNESS OP M. POINCARE NEW MINISTRY TO BE FORMED (United Press Association-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Auatralian Praia Auooiatfea) PARIS, 26th July. It is authoritatively reported that M. Poincare has resigned in order to undergo a serious operation. It is believed President Doumergue will invite M. Briand to form a Government. Deeply moved, the Ministerial Council instructed M. Briand and M. Louis Barton to convey to M. Poincare its affectionate sympathy and to urge him to remain at the head of the Government while taking the required rest. PARIS, 27th July. After a lengthy consultation with his colleagues, who failed to induce M. Poincare to reconsider his decision, President Doumergue commissioned M. Briand to form a Ministry, which ho will proceed to do to-morrow. If successful this will he his twelfth Cabinet. BRITISH SYMPATHY LONDON, 28th July. Tho King and Mr MacDonald telegraphed sympathy with M. Poincare. Tho newspapers pay a tribute to his career, culminating in the ratification of the debt 'agreements. The operation lias not yet been performed. The doctors are confident of recovery,
