The pilots escaped, but a man and his wife who were passengers were seriously injured. (Received 29th July, 10.10 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. Further details of the Blue Mountains ’plane crash show that although severely injured, Neil Stewart and his wife had a miraculous escape from death, when the ’plane was smashed tomatchwood against a tree. The occupants of the second ’plane landed in a swamp, uninjured, but the ’plane was totally wrecked.
