The Miners’ Conference further, adjourned after an animated debate, on the motion that the miners press for the immediate repeal of the Eight Hour Act. / (Received 26th Julv. 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, 25th July. At the conclusion of a private session of the Miners’ Federation Conference at Blackpool, it was officially announced that a resolution was unanimously passed to press for an immediate repeal of the Miners’ Eight Hours Act. The conference also demanded a higher minimum wage and a national wages agreement based on the cost of living.
