DEATH DURING OPERATION
A WELLINGTON INQUEST (By TaJearrph—Preas Association) WELLINGTON. This Day. On the day following the last day of the V ellington races Kenneth Duncan McGregor was put under an anaesthetic at V ellington after having an arm broken through beink knocked down by a car driven by Hayden Algar, a builder, on race day. At the inquest to-dav evidence was given that deceased lurclied into the car while drunk, and'the medical evidence Was that he was suffering from acute alcoholism when, put under the operation. The Coroner, Mr Barton, returned a. verdict of cardiac failure during an operation. ‘That is the primary cause,” said Air Barton. ‘The motor accident need not ever be, called a secondary cause for the purpose of this inquiry.**
