The postponed day of the South Canterbury .Jockey Club's Meeting was being held to-day under unfavourable' weather conditions, vain having fallen heavily through the night and when tire meeting opened it was raining steadily. There was a moderate attendance, and the track was heavy. Results:— Pukaki Handicap, of 120 sovs; one mile and a- half.—l Elysianor, 10.13. 1; 2 Gala Day, 9.13, 2; 5 Gold Town, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Carenthia, Shut Eye. Won by a neck. Time, 2.55 3-5. Novice Handicap, of 110 sovs; five furlongs.—6 Mount Boa. 9.0, 1; 1 El Boa, 9.5, 2: 3 Huntley, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Kate Keely. Won by two lengths. Time, 1.4 2-5. Prince. Edward Handicap, of 200 sovs; one mile and 35 yards.—l King Balboa. 10.11, 1; 6 Overdrawn, 9.11, 2; 3 Wingattti, 10.0. 3. Scratched: Fairy Herald, Equerry.
