AT TAKAKA AND MURCHISON
The following telegrams have been received from the postmasters at Murchison and Takaka respectively:— Murchison: "Rivers normal. Light rain. Minor tremors continue with occasional heavier ones." takaka: "Tremors continued throughout night. Sharp shock experienced at 9.20 a.m. .Severe thunderstorm accompanied by vivid lightning and heavy rain passed over Takaka early this morning. Still shewery."
