NELSON HARBOUR
(To the Editor) Sir, —I am glad to sec thai Uic Nelson Harbour Board is applying to the right source for information as to (lie seemingly changing conditions affecting the Nelson Harbour. 1 understand they art; approaching Mr Leslie H. Reynolds, 0.K., with a view to his making a report on those seemingly changing conditions. They could not have applied Id a better man', for not only is lie tho most experienced harbour engineer in New Zealand, but he designed the plans for Ihe improvement of Nelson Harbour winch have proved such a great success. .Mr Reynolds certainly knows more about Nelson' Harbour than anyone else; and in approaching him with a view to his milking a report, the Board is exhibiting the best possible judgment and a sense of its responsibility to the people of the city and district, to whom Nelson Harbour is vital. Without; ib, Nelson city and district would be ruined. Therefore it is right and proper that New Zealand's' premier harbour engineer should be invited to report on the present condition of the harbour.
