The New York, Princeton and Cornell track teams defeated the. Cambridge contingent for the first time in eight years, taking nine first places to three for the Britishers, who won the 100 yard dash, quarter mile, and half mile runs. Tisdall (Cambridge), was far ahead in (lie 220 yards low hurdles when he fell over the last hurdle and failed to finish. Tehitcherine (Cambridge) won the 440 yards, run in 49 4-ssec, with Leighwood (Oxford) second. Hampson (Oxford) won the half mile in lmin 56sec, which is a new record. Wilkinson. (Cambridge) won the 100 yards dash ip. 10 2-5 see. At Newport, the Oxford-Cambridge team took the second leg for the permanent possession of the Prentice Cup, having won 15 matches to 6 by HarvardYale.
