(To tho Editor) Sir.— On behalf of Hie settlers of onv immediate locality I desire to express our sincere thanks to iMr Duncan Drummond for giving ns permission to irpt- two stringers out oT his bush, winch has enabled us to erect a temporary foot ],ridge over the river and also the ('ountv Council for helping us with some of their staff. .Mr Drummond also gave bis services with other settlers, "ami 1 must state that is the sort spirit- t-o help us over our flood I roubles.—.l am. etc..’ T.
