WELLINGTON SKIN SALES Dalgety and Company L mited, Wellington, report under date 19th July:— Our usual sale of sheepskins, hides and tallow was held this afternoon. We submitted a- good average catalogue of all descriptions to a large attendance of buyers. Sheepskins.—Good demand for all grades, prices being a shade easier on late rates. Salted skins sold about a par to 3d less than previous quotations. Hides. —Fair competition for all grades and weights. Cow all weights met a better market and showed an advance of per lb. Heavy and medium ox declined £d to jjd per lb, while light weights generally were better. Kip and yearlings soid particularly well, prices being on a par. Calf sold at a lower level of values, rates being fully Id per lb lower than last quotations. Tallow. —There was a good enquiry for tin lots, prices being unchanged.
