FORGED DRAFT OF £4,7000
BANK CLERK’S ADMISSION

AUCKLAND, This Day. Admission that he forged a draft for £4700 on the Bank of New South Wales was made by Samuel Fabian Mills, aged 21, in the Magistrate’s Court. In a written statement read by the police, accused, who was employed as a clerk in the Auckland branch of the bank, said that he secured the necessary forms for drawing money from the bank on 6th July, the day on which lie left for a fortnight’s holiday, than proceeding to New Plymouth, where he successfully presented the draft. He was committed to* the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was fixed at two sureties each of £250.
