EMPIRE PREFERENCE
NO IMMEDIATE ABOLITION (United Proas Association—By JElootrlo Telegraph—Oopyrignu CANBERRA, 18th July. ■ Federal Ministers believe no attempt will bo made to abolish Empire preference until after the Imperial Conference next year. The Premier of Queensland received a cablegram stating that the preferential duty on sugar will at least remain till after the Imperial Conference.
