FRENCH COMMUNISTS

HAUNTS RAIDED (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright;/ (Australian Press Association) (Received 19th Julv, 9.55 a.m.) PARIS, 18th July. The police extensively raided Communists haunts overnight, including the office of the newspaper "Hunianitc." A member of its staff was arrested for being allegedly in possession of military documents. Later the managing printer was arrested. The police carried off a mass of documents.

The raids were made for the purpose of checking the growth of a strong Communist wave.
