FOUR MEN SHOT
GANG WARFARE IX SYDNEY (United Press Association—Bjr Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 18th Julv, 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The shooting of four men early this morning at Maroubra, the police believe, is a continuation of gang warfare by members of the underworld. George Gaffney was shot right through the body and is not expected to live. Two others were treated in hospital hut refuse to give an account of the affray. The poliee stated that four or five men attacked a house lint, one of the defenders used an armv service rifle with deadly effect. A man named Devine lias been arrested.
