GARAGE UNDERMINED
SIX CARS FALL INTO RIVER CHRISTCHURCH, Tin’s Day. A Geraldine report states that the Waihi river is in flood and undermined a garage on the bank, precipitating six cars into the water. Five are believed to be totally lost. A house in .the vicinity had to be evacuated by a man and his wife and family during the night.
