The Wright Aeronautical Corporation has announced the receipt ot messages from Kingston! Smith indicating that he and Ulin are m/t discouraged by the recent failures of trans-Atlantic crossing, and would probably endeavour to fly from London to New York within the next few days. The aviators asked if the corporation deemed it advisible to fly to New York. and thence to Oakland (California), with the same motors they used when Ihev left Oakland for Sydney last year. The accomplishment of this feat with the original equipment, would be a new exploit in aviation history. SMITH PLACES WREATH ON CENOTAPH (Australian Press Association.—Uuitod Service) LONDON, 16th July. Kingsford Smith and party placed a wreath on tlio Cenotaph. SquadronLeader Wrigley accompanied the airmen, representing the R.A.F.
