The following telegram, timed 10 a.m.. this day, has been received from Mr H. Patterson, Postmaster, Murchison : "Rivers normal. Weather fine. Quiet night with minor shakes. One more severe about 2 a.m." From Mr W. J. Smith, Postmaster, Takaka: "Several shakes experienced during night. One fairly severe at 2.55 a.m. " Tremors still continue.
