HARAKEKE SPORTS' ASSOCIATION

At a representative meeting of the liockev and tennis clubs of the Harakeke district, held at Harakeke, it was decided to form a sports' committee with a view to promoting further interest and extending activities in these connections. For the purpose of augmenting the funds of these bodies a sports carnival will be arranged for the forthcoming Labour Day. In consideration of the numerous advantages attending these activities, both sociallv and from a physical point of view. it is anticipated that this plan will meet with the willing support of the entire district concerned. Further detail sol' the proposed function will ho advertised at a later date.
