Sydney's crime wave continued during the past week, when there were 54 eases of robbery of shops and dwellings. The list was increased by 30 small miscellaneous thefts. Twenty-three motor cars were reported to have been stolen. The police last night arrested five men believed to have been responsible, for car thefts. Fifteen motor cycles and cars were recovered, some from dams and river beds whore thev were thrown when the gang became frightened.
