BOXING
WELLINGTON PROFESSIONAL BOUTS ißy Tiilfrrn-pn—Preaa AwioUMou WELLINGTON. This Day. The Wellington Boxing Association staged two professional bouts last night in the Town Hall, which was well filled. In the professional bantamweight contest of fifteen rounds, S. North (Sydney) and C. Hnrnc (Wellington) boxed a draw. It was an even break, North's harder hitting being counter-balanced by Hume's superior boxing. The contest between the professional featherweights. 0. Crowley and J. Cotterill. was the most spirited of the evening, there not being a dull moment throughout the ten rounds. Cotterill got the decision by reason of his longer reach and superior physical condition. Some dissatisfaction was voiced when it was announced that the amateur heavyweight contest between H. 0. Rags'dale and W. Bolton could not bo staged on account of Ragsdale's indisposition.
