'' Blackheads were scattered all over my face. They appeared around my nose first and spread to other parts of my face. They took the form of red pimples much inflamed with a white spot on the head. The skin was sore around them and they irritated me so much that I had to scratch. When they were scratched they spread into eruptions and caused disfigurement.
