Dalgety and Company Limited report having conducted (on' account of Mr L. Manson, Takaka) one of the moat successful sales of dairy stock held in the province for- many years. Buyers wore present from the surrounding districts in full force, those from Collin'gwood taking the bulk of the offering, while local farmers competed strongly for the remainder. The herd may be described as an average oho, so that the over-all price of £ll 10s for the crossbred cows and heifers must be considered highly satisfactory. The registered Jerseys also sold exceptionally well, every animal offered being sold under the hammer. The following are prices realised : Best crossbred cows and heifers. £lO 10s. £ll ss, £ll 15s, £l2 Gs. £ls 10s, £l3 15s, £l4, £l4 ss: others £9 5s to £lO ss. Registered cows': 30£- guineas, 311 guineas, 32 guineas io 401 guineas. Heifers, 211guineas, 22 guineas, 24 'guineas to 261 guineas.
