THE LONGEST LIFT IN LONDON
Tire great tower of Westminster Cathedral is to have a lift that will he the longest lift in London, for it will rise IS') feet to the upper platform of the tower, and the journey will take over half minute. That will be an improvement on the 300 steps which previously had to he climbed to see the view. The lift will carry ten passengers. To make room for it the Angelas bell, that rings daily at S, 12, and (i o’clock, will ho raised to a higher level.
