SECOND ISSUE OF si, PER CENT DEBENTURES
On account of the popular success of the Wellington Hospital Board’s recent issue of 5.', per emit- debentures, the Board has decided to- again approach (he public direct for a' further loan. This is required to carry out the Board’s progressive policy in constructing new buildings, and modernising the equipment. Ihe present Debenture Loan is for £50,000, the interest rate being 51 per cent per annum payable half-yearly, and the period is ten years from' 14th March, 1925. This is giltedged investment, and therefore will appeal to people who wish complete ‘security comhined with highest possible interest rate. Debentures are £IOO each, interest is payable from receipt of money, and investors receive injji-rest and repayment of principal free ot exchange anywhere in the Dominion. Supporting the loan is the capital value of the rateable property under the jurisdiction of the local bodies in the Wellington Hospital Board’s district, amounting to £39,346,432. Ihe annual levy mi local bodies is also subsidised by the Government-. An announcement concerning the loan appears in another part of this issue. It. is stated that a. portion is already disposed of, and urgent- application from intending investors is desirable. Application should be made, to the Secretary, General Hospital, Wellington.
