TROUBLE AT MEAT WORKS

A dispute has arisen at tbo Tokoonaru Bay freezing works as an outcome of whidh the men withdrew, and it is reported that tlie works have been closed down for the season. The trouble is stated to have arisen over the employment of a butcher formerly employed at tho works, who after working elsewhere applied for re-employment but was not given a job. The employees decided to come out in sympathy. In view of this action, the manager of the company is stated to have decided to close down for the season. Forty lo fiftv men are affected.
