A complete change of programme -will he given xo-nigh* at the Empire Theatre. There will be shown a Famous Players' star drama entitled "Her Triumph," present! r.g the popular dancer. Gaby J>»lys, on the screen for the first time. "Her ■ Triumph" has •been written specially for / her, and might be a real story of her life, so graphic and! convincing' does it appear. Commencing as a ballet dancer, she overcomes everv obstacle and every temptation, before she ultimately reaches the pinnacle of her ambition. The actress gives many fine sentimental touches in the course of her storv, but she remains naturals throughout. She is equally convincing as the little chorus girl at the outsets lovingly tending her bed-ridden mother and blind sister, and as the successful artist, who secures fame, when her greatest happiness consists in tne additional comforts she can give her loved ones. There are no dull moments; every scene possesses some incident that engrosses attention and grips the spectator. Gabv .Derivs receives great support from Harrv -Pilcer, who also makes his d«it>ut as a" film actor. As a dancer in cpmiunotion -with Deslys, Mr Piker has gaaned worlduwire celebrity.
