THE SEASON'S SIRES.
__ The annual parade of the season's sires, '-under the auspices of the Nelson Agricultural and Pastoral Association "was held at Richmond Park yesterday afternoon. There was a fair number of those interested present. The entries were small compared with other years, there heing only four horses on show, two draught and two trotters. The thorough'bred class was not represented. Of the draughts Eclipse was: shown in excellent form, and has filled out to a horse of great substance. Breeders in the district speak very highly of his stock. Ke is also a winner in the sire and progeny class. Eclipse is at the services of breeders between Motueka and Waimeas. Prince Darnley was again shown' in splendid condition, and was much admired. This horse is well known in the district, and has secured first prize and championship for draught horse at. the last three Nelson A. and P. Shows. Big prices have been offered for some of his last year's stock. Of the trotters Black Beldon is a fine stamp and looked well. He also ran second to Nomination at Auckland in' 2.17, besides winning a mile race in 2.26. Fergus Hill, the other trotting representative, is fashionably 'bred, and will be at the services of breeders of Nelson and surrounding districts.
