ANOTHER RAID

Several airships crossed the eastern and north-eastern coasts between 10.30 o'clock and midnight. Bombs were dro-ped in several places in the northern and north Midland counties. The airships are now off the South Coast. During Saturday night's raid a bomb pierced, the roof of a- house in the London district, and hung suspended from the rafters. Firemen mounted and extinguished the fuse. SIX AIRSHIPS ENGAGED. LONDON, Sept. 26. Field Marshal Lord French reports that it is believed that six airships visited the north-east and southern counties. There were some casualties and damage, Ibut full reports have not been received. ONE RAIDER DAMAGED. COPENHAGEN, Sept. 25. Fishermen at Esjberg report seeing four Zeppelins travelling slowly southeast, apparently short of fuel. One damaged aft. Seven airships attacked! the south coast, east coast, north-east uoast and the North Midlands. They principally aimed at industrial centres, ibut no damage to military factories or works is yet reported. They wrecked* and' damaged a small house and) cottages and killed 29 people. iit some places the anti-aircraft defence was engaged), several large industrial centres successfully driving off the raiders.
