THE MOTUEKA MISSION
The Methodist Church, was packed last night to hear thb : Rev. Valmioiit Trigg©' tell his life's story. As the speaKer traced' his family history from the time his great-grandfather was ; to George the Fourth till the time when he himself was ordained as clergyman, his lai'ge audience listened in ? rapt attention, and- ail through the two hours of the lecture not a- person left the 'building. Mr Trigge is nothing if not versatile, and with considerable di-amatic ability he told his story, punctuating all with . stories first of doings in the football and athletic world generally, and later with anecdotes connected with his church-Work during which the listeners were moved to laughter and l tears by turns. Occasion was taken for the interchange of thanks from the church- officials and, the missioned, after a collection had t)een taken towards the expenses of the mis- ~ sion, the Rev. C. A. Foston announced ' that all expenses ha<J been fully met and nothing now remained <but to thank God for his goodness in sending their friend into their midst.
