The latest official message states:— Probably more (than 12 airships participated. The damage in the provinces is slight. One of the east Midlands towns received a num'ber of bombs. Two people were killed and 11 injured. Dozens of houses and shops were wrecked. There were no other casualties outside the metropolitan area although numerous bombs did [damage of an insignificant nature in the metropolitan area. Sevente'en men, eight women and three child- - ren were killed and eightynine injured, including 54 children and women. Much small propjerty was damaged by fires caused'. Two factories and a railway were damaged'jn two places but no military damage was done.
