Messrs Burbidge and Son report as follows civ the Wellington fruit-and produce market:— Owing to increased supplies of rhu•ba,Mi, apples are easier, but firm. Poultry, pork, eggs, walnute, (peas, and' fruit are wanted. Current prices : Apples: Dougherty 14s to 15s 6d, Sturmer 12s to 13s,* Rokewood 10s to lis 6d, Lord! Wolsel'ey 9s to lis, Washington 10s* to lis 6d', dump cages. Walnut's 9d per lb.. : / Potatoes.£9 per ton. - Gi-eeii peas 3s 6d to 4s per (peck. Cabbages 5s to 10s per sack. Cauliflowers 8s to 12s per sack. Pork 6£d to 7d per lb. , Ducks 7s to 8s uer pair, fowls 6s to 7s - Messrs Griffiths and Co., Ltd. (incorpora ting Braid and Wallace) report as follows on the Wellington fruit and produce market:— As anticipated in? our last week's report, values of both apples and pears have moderated consequent upon the heavy supplies of all frnits offering; simultaneously. „ However, the market is firm., at fair rates, and we recommend regular shippi'ng. Hobart apples againi came forward this week and met with f a fairly favourable reception. Sydney fruit was again irr short and values are high. Supplies of green peas are increasing slightly, but values are still very good, the latest sales being at 3s 9d"to 4s per peck. Cool-stored New Zealand Nelis and Cole Pears axe realising 8s to 8s 6d t:er half-dump case, there 'being very few . other varieties now offering. Walnuts 8d to 8£ per lb. • Hazelnuts 7d per lb. Asparagus and rhubarb are now increasing in quantitv but the demand is well maintained.
