WELLINGTON, This Day.

The Royal Commission appointed to inquire into the case against- Constable Peter Maloney, dismissed from the service on- a charge that he drew from the Government moneys for services he alleged he had paid for, -when in fact he had not paid to have them done, has been furnished. In. the report to the Governor, the Commission finds that Maloney was not guilty of the charge alleged against him. though it censures him for not producing evidence that would have established his innocence at the inquiry held by Inspector Phair.
