ANNUAL MEETING. Te annual meeting of the Nelson Cricket- Association was held at StalInrd's rooms last evening. The president (Mr J. H. Finney) occupied the and the following delegates were rv-Wnt Messrs W. B. Griffin and L-Gnd-ell (Nelson). A. Stewart (KamuraU ■*"*. H. Bro-id (College), L. Bradstock (Stoke), and the secretary (Mr A. Bensemann). 1 _ The cerretarv presented the annual report, which stated that, owing to the war. cricket 'lt ring the season had been somewhat quiet. The Junior competition. was owing- to the number of placers with the Expeditionary Force. Ten rounds fox - the Senior Championship were "laved-, four teams competing, and there "were some interesting •matches. Only two representative matches were played, against Waimea and Marlborough, in. both of which Nelson was defeated. Waimea winning bv 50 Tuns on the first- innings. and Marl•borongh. in both of which Np'fnn was defeated. Waimea winning by 50 runs en the first innings, and Marlborough securing a win by seven wickets. The Marlborough team included no fewer than sis ex-Ne!son representatives. Durimr the season the horse mower was disposed of, and the association's finances were riow in & satisfactory condition. It -was* noted that during the not, a •single eenturv ws scored in Nelson, the highest score being S3 by T. B. Louisson against- College. There was only one century partnership, by College against Stoke. Although no fewer than 112 players had gone to the front, it was hoped .the game would foe-kept going during the coming season. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £8 13s 6d. with liabilities nil. Officers were'; elected as follows; Patron. Mr S. Kirkpatrick (re-elected) ; president. Mr J. H. Finnev ■vice-presidents, Messrs H. L. Fowler, W. X)evenish, T. A. H. Field. M.P. H. Smmders. W. W. Snodcrass, F. H. Richmond, Dr Johnston. Messrs B. 11. Moller, and L Bradstock: hon. auditor. Mr W. B. Griffin : hon. secretary and treasurer. Mr A. Ber<-emann (re-elected); selection committee. Messrs C. H. Broad. A. Benseraann, and L. Bradstock ; emergencv committee. Messrs L. Gudsell. A. H- Lane, iand A. Bensemann ; fixture committee, Mr W. B. Griffin, and the f«cretarv. It -was resolved to hold a senior championship competition, and four teams entered. -viz.. College, Nelson, Kamura, and St-oke. A letter was received from the Waimea Association, suggesting that matches ■photfM be played during the season.— It was'resolved to arrange the fixtures so that the request could be granted. The date for opening the season was left to. the Fixture Committee. - A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the hon. secretary (Mr A. Bensemann for the excellent manner in which he had carried out his duties.
