TEAICHEIR.—The amendments in the regulations for the examination and' classification of teachers provide, inter alia, that a candidate may at one time take the examination as a whole, or may take the subjects constituting any three groups, or any two groups, or any one group. The groups may be taken in any order, but all the subjects constituting any gl -o up may be taik ,, n afc fche time A. candidate shall be held' to have passed m any group when he has, at one and the same time, satisfied the requirement of that group; similarly, a partial pass may be obtained bv reason of weakness in one subject only. A candidate may complete his pass in a group for which he has been credited with a partial pass py passing in the subject in which he has failed. Provision is also made in the amended Regulations for the reco"mtion of a pass or a partial pass in a>rv section of class D under the earlier Regulations. The examination fees have also been revised.
