"OTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting V>f the Nelson City Council held on the 25th clay of August, 1916, the said council in pursuance of the powers vested in it bv Section 69 of The, Public Health Act, 1908, and The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and of all other statutory powers and authorities {if any) resolved by way of Special Order as follows., namely : That a special Loan of £3OOO be raised- for the purpose of constructing certain drainage works as indicated in a report by the City Engineer, dated the 25th day of May, 1916, a copy of which Report is lodged in the Town Clerk's Office at Nelson and is for the purpose of identification, signed by the flavor and Town Clerk and marked That the said Special Loan be raised by t* l6 iss ue of one or more debentures of not less than £IOO each such debentures to bear interest at the rate of £5 per centum per annum, payable .by equal -half-yearly payments. "That the term of the said debentures be a period of 30 years from the date of the issue thereof. That a Sinking Fund at the rate of One pound ten. .shillings per centum per annum on the amount of the said special loan be provided for the repayment of the said loan. That the security for the said special loar* and interest shall be an annually recurring special rate of One half penny in. the pound on the annual value of* all rateable property in the Citv of Nelson. That the cost of raising the said Special Loan be paid out of the Loan.
