The Government's intention regarding cheese is not announced but there is a growing ifmpression that vit- is likely to ake over all arrivals fi-om Australia, New Zealand, Canadian! and possibly also the Home otri?-p-ut. WELLINGTON FRUIT AND MARKET. (Special to Mail.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 19. Laery and Co. report:—Excellent demand exists for choice dessert pears. Consignments are strongly recommended. Dessert aples are somewhat easier, cookers good enquiry We quote as follows: Pears, choice, Winter Nelis, Josephines 16s to 17s; half cases at relative rates ; Barry 13s to 14s. Apples, choice Sturmers lis 6d to 13s fid, medium 9s to 10s; Cleonatras, Munroes, Five Crowns, lis 6d; Washingtons 12s to 12s 6d ; Doughertys, coloured, 13s to 14s ; Rokewoods 9s to 10s ; Etowahs, 9s; walnuts, choice eggs, fresh, Is 3d to Is 4d dozen.
