FLOWER SHOW AINT3 SALE OF WORK. The annual flower show and sale of ■work in connection with, the Presbyterian (Ladies' Guild opened in the Sunday School this afternoon. The show has again been generously supported by the ■bulb growers, and there are large entries throughout the daffodil classes. The quality in both the trumpet and cup sections is excellent, there being blooms of exceptionally high merit. There is also a very fine display of hyacinths, while other successful sections are the decorative and cut blooms. The staging generally is effective, the tier principle ■being adopted. In addition to the flower show there are cake, sweets, work, produce, and variety stalls, a tea kiosk, and a bran pie. 'lie show will be open this evening and again to-moiro%v. Each night there •will ibe a (musical programme, and tomorrow evening there will be an auction sale of blooms, the proceeds going to the Soldiers' Christmas Gift Fund. The judges were:—Cut flowers, Mr Arthur Day; decorative, Mesdames W. V. Rout, and Styc&e. Mrs Angus had charge of the flower show, and was assisted by Mesdames T. Hamilton and C R. Cooke and Misses Baird and L. Clouston. Tie stall-holders are as follows : Tea Kiosk: 'Mesdames Rowe and Walker. Cake and Sweet: Mesdames W. Ro'bertson, A. Stewart and Blanche. Work Stall: Mesdames Thompson, Widdowson, Tripney. Produce "Stall: Mesdames MacKenzie, Duirs, Baritrop, Neilson. Variety Stall: Misses Widdowson and Dodds. Bran Pie: tßible Class girls.
