COUNTER-ATTACKS REPULSED. HEAVY ENEMY LOSSES. (Renter's Telegrams.) LONDON, Sept. 18. Sjr Douglas Haig reports that several •heavy eaemv counter-atta.iks south of the Anr.re were all repulsed. The enemy advancing from Les Boeufs, north of Flers, were caught by our artillery barrage and lost very heavily. An enemy brigade advancing between Flers and: iMartinpuich to attack in the direction of High "Wood met two of our battalions in the open and hand-to-hand fighting ensued, in -which we were completely successful, the enemy being dispersed with heavy losses. We improved oar position north of Mouquet Yarm. Our artillery is active. It caused, another conflagration in an enemy ammunition d-u-nrp at Grandcourt. Out aviators continued their successful attack on the enemy's communications. (Rec. Sept, 19. 11.50 a.m.) (Official.) Sept. IS. j/X squadron of naval v aeroplanes dropped many bombs on Sunday afternoon on an aerodrome at St. Denis.
