WELLINGTON WOOL. SKINS. AND HIDES SALE. Messrs E. Buxton and Co.. Ltd., report that the usual foil nightly sale of -kins, hides and oddments took place, a! Wellington ..11 Friday last in the presence of a large and representative attendance of buyer*, and tliat all classes of pioduce weie keenly competed for. and prices were iirm compared with the s-ale held a fortnight ago. the offering of wool was not by any nie'.tis attractive, the better qualities of crutohing.s being held back. —no doubt in view of the poor demand for these during the past few weeks. Prices for sheepskins hardened to the extent of a hnlfnenuy per lb while hides again fully maintained high figures, any change being slightly in sellers' favour. Calfskins were also in keen demand. The range of prices was as under: Sheepskins. —-. 'rosslred, medium to fine, 12d to 13d : coarse to medium, 11,-j-d to 12.U1 : short to half wools 7d to dead and damaged to 10.1 d ; badly damaged and inferior up to Tid ; lambs 10.', dto 12;jd ; green, salted and damp. 5s 6d to 14s 2d <>..<;!...
