"a* iYIIOWIS ;._ - Kvery voluntary recruit- shall at the time when- he takes the oath of allegiance under the Exvs.d-itionary Forces Act, 1915, bo attested in the' presence of an attesting officer. Every compulsory recruit shall before being frrst received* into a. camp- of militarv training or forthwith thereafter l:e attested in the presence of an attesiii-i.r efficer. " Every compulsory recruit mav. if he so desires, take die oath of allegiance anxl' he attested in the same manner as a voluntary recruit instead of in. the manner set forth in the second schedule. Every eom.i.til.sory recru,:{. who i(-fn.--:.s or_ tads when required, to do so by any i-fiicer under wh. se command he'is to ap.peav befol e an- attrs.tin-g officer, and thereto auiswe-r all questions submitted to hiar and- be attested in accordance with these regulations, shall be guilty of disobedience to lawful commands of the officer under whose command h... so is. and N'hali be liable under the Armv A< t- accLi-dingly.
