SENSATIONAL ROBBERY.
[United Press Association.] GHEISTCHURCH, Friday. A sensational robbery took place at te Theatre Royal some time this after- : ;.oon. It appenrp that Mr Duncan ' (Mr Bland Holt's treasurer!, locked the : office at the Theatre about 4 p.m., ieav- , ing locked in a, wooden box the sum of i £320 in gold and nott-s, intended iov ; Jie pajmeiit of falaiies. On returning to the o/tii-e at 7 p.m. Mr Duncnn found : the padlock with which the box had : been locked lying on the floor and the j box empty. A door 'eadiug from the | vestibule to the ofice had been forced j open by the thief.
