MOTFEKA ODDFELLOWS. c- ■ — » '■ - The annual meeting of the Motueka District was held on Tuesday in the Lodge Room, Motueka, P.G.M. Bro. H. Satherley in the chair. The following delegates were present .-—Loyal Motueka Lodge: P.P.G.M.'s W. Boyce, H. Humbold, G.M. C. Boyes, and P.V. T. Boyes. South Star: P.P.G.M.'s N. Win and E. Win. Good Intention Lodge: P.P.O.M. A. Inglis and P.G. Les. Drummond. Takaka: P.P.G.M.'s J F Rose and A. Whelham, and P.S. W. G. Humphries. C.S. C. Fry was also present. The balance-sheet was adopted. It showed tho widow and orphans' fund to be worth £3320 14s 8d ; management fund, £42 7s Id ; funeral fund, £13 12s 8d ; and benevolent fund, £8 10s sd. The total worth of the Lodges in the district were as follows : — Motueka, £5186 7s 6d ; Good Intention, £3623 19s lOd ; Takaka, £1956 15s 7d ; South Star, £989 I3s 2d. The long-delayed valuation of the widow and orphans' fund was received from the Registrar and adopted. , Resolved that the C.S. make application to the Registrar of Friendly Societies for a table of levies for this district, showing the amount of money, if any. over-paid by any separate Lodge during tho last five years. Resolved, that P.P.G.M.'s W. Boyce, H. Rumbold, A. Inglis, and E. W. Win, together with the G.M., be the Executive Committee to conduct the business at the July meeting. Bros. H. Everett and S. B. Canavan were appointed auditors for the ensuing year. Bro. Whelham reported on the proceedings at the Movable Committe? meeting in New Plymouth last year. Resolved that P.P.G.M. Bro. N. Win be appointed to give Purple lectures to past officers of the South Star Lodge. DPG M. Bro. J. A. Askew was appointed Grand Master for the ensuing year.
