The "Kilties lave been a touring combination lor ight years, and have appeared by Ko- I -ul command before the King at Bal- a noral (September 17, 1904) and Sand- f inham (November 9, 1904][. There arc c 12 members in the new band, and they 5 il«i form a liedertafel choir for the s sarmoiiious rendering of .Scottish and < Canadian ballads, this kilted band a roasts two giants, a drum-major 7ft. 2in. in height, and a second drum-ma-jor 7ft. 6in. in height. Mr Albert Hook, the conductor, wears the Vieto- ' rian medal, bestowed on him by the King. A mstince will bo given in the Park on Wednesday afternoon-, when it is anticipated that at least .5000 people will be present. The giant drum-majors of the Kilties Band will arrive in Nelson to-morrbiv iteming-.
