Christchurch, Monday. The nomination for the Coleridge district took place on Saturday, when Messra J Jeb.on, D. McMillan, and J. D. Enys were nominated. Tbe show of hands was : Jebson, 10 ; NcMillau, 8 ; Eoys, 2. _ r „, Waimate. Messrs W. J. Steward, J. Manchester J. R. Clements, P. Bateman, and J. w' Clarke were proposed . The show of bauds was in favor of Mr Steward. A poll was demanded. __ A ,_ Marsden. Messrs Alderton, Mitchelson, and M'Leod were nominated. The show of hands was in favor of Alderton. Auckland. At South Franklyn Messra Hamlin and Laury, both Opposionists, were nominated, lhe show of hands was :— Laury 25 ; Hamlin _r ™ Picton. Messrs E. T. Conolly and W. 11, Eyes were nominated The show of hands was in favor of Conolly.
